I have started a monday night fight night which is going well. We have the boxing ring, fighters, ring girls, and everything to make it a good promotion. It is growing by the week. But my insurance company is giving me a hard time. I need to find special event insurance to cover me for the night. I posted a thread a while back on Dave's forum "nightclubbiz.com" and got some help but I can't find the companys name and number that somebody sent me. If anyone can give me any help on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Hank:

Try and get your hands on a copy of Nightclub and Bar Magazine. In the very back of the mag, there are advertisements for Event Insurance. I don't get it any more or I would post the info here.

Search the net also.

If you still can't find a contact, I'll ask the promoter in my market who he uses.

A little info on the Fight program. These types of promotions seem to be popping up all over the states. They are great money makers. If you own a club and there is a "Thursday Night Fights" promo in your area, use their fight promo to build an early and after fight crowd.

I set up a situation where one of the local clubs was a fight sponsor. Like I said, the fights are on Thursday nights. On Wednesday night, the club hosts a prefight weigh in. This attracts the fight fans and the other promoters. Then after the fights on Thursday, everyone is invited back to the club for a post fight party. Like Hank's situation, this thing has taking off like crazy.

A local T.V. Station records the fights on Thursday and airs them on Sunday.
