In All my clubs we do a Little trick. We cement cinderblocks chris cross from the solid ground up through the DJ booth floor. We them put both our turn tables on the stacks. This prevents viberation on the turntables. The stacks are usually 6 feet tall.

Please explain what 'cinderblocks' are. If you ever get a chance to take a photo, that would be great.

if your building a booth. use cement pour tubes to reach the fondation of the building. the concrete reduces resignation and destroys any unwanted vibes.

Andrew I don't have a picture, but imagine a brick (regular construction type), but approx. 2 feet wide, 8 inces deep, and 10 inces tall. Now, there are two holes going through the tallness, to hollow it out.

Ever see any Martial Arts competitions.... The bricks that they break... those are Cinder Bricks.

I know I probably made this more confusing, but I couldn't find a picture.

Andrew - You know the bricks that changing sheds at sport grounds are often made of? Big, grey with two holes - Them things. I don't know why they call them cinder blocks in the US, but ehh, its only a name...

Anyway - I think what thewave is suggesting is that you stack your turntables and decks directly onto the foundations of your club by having a hole in the floor that you pass the stack of cinder blocks/bricks or metal poles too - That way, when there are people in your club and the floor is shaking, you won't get any skipping of needles across vinyl, nor jumping read heads in CD decks.
