Looking for good names for a bar that's located in the basement of another bar. Please cast your vote - or throw out any other ideas you can come up with...

I like David's suggestion of "Core" or a variation on the name plus the word "below"

I like David's suggestion of D.U.B., simply because it rolls off the tongue and seems very marketable.

I don't get it...

One. It is a basement bar. You don't have to refer to it as a bottom of anything. Underneath or whatever.
Two. No one I know has a unique name for a bar like that.
Three. It is undefinable. So you can do anything with the bar. Open to the possibilities.
Four. Wherever you are. YouaReHeRe. A bar that lives from moment to moment...YOU ARE HERE.

What's the concept and market? For example, for a dance club with heavy bass music, you could call it The Bass Mint, but that wouldn't work for a sports bar so I ask.

Well, what ever it is will be HAS TO sound good when you answer the phone.
Sooo, with that in mind "We're Down Here"

Im not sold on some of these poll options. What kinda place is it gonna be? Neighborhood joint, Sportsbar, Lounge, Music club- what?

Back in the day there was a lounge in NYC that you had to take an elevator down to. It was called B'lo. Pretty succsessful and a great run. Just a thought...

Like B'lo exept for possible drug connotations- was it during the 80's?

Yeah the drug connotations dont bother me as long as the image/look of the place was upscale and coincided with the overall theme. Obvi if its called B'lo and its a shithole, the drug thing becomes more of an issue.

It was in Chelsea and opened around early 00 or 01 and closed around 04 i believe (don't quote me on that)
