Well after getting my idea shut down from the city that I wanted to put a nightclub in. I decided to look around at different areas, about 20 min north of my home is dirt track speed way. The town population is only about 1000 people but every weekend for about 9 months out of the year there is well over a couple thousand people come to that track in the course of a weekend. There is land for sale out side the track and thinking about putting up something there.
What is your all imput on something like this? Also what is like the forumla for footage vs person cap. I mean I see some of these bars that say 50 people max cap and it is like a 20 x 30 area. Is there some way to know how big I can go for x amount of people and fire exits.
Was thinking about a racing theme of course for it what about a name?

I love that idea. If you can maximize profits on those nights that events happen at the truck go for it. If you have no other competition then your set. Is there a building are there or you buy the property to construct. You should find out from the city how they work to give you the licence. They know about how many people per space. If you wanted to make a club of like 20000sqft. You have to determin the size your looking to work with because of costs. If you have the money then yea. I'd try to get replica f1 track cars in the club etc try to host as many parties as you can for after race. You guys have a lot of street racers? They tend to have money to spend many of them. Well atleast the guys I know here have good funds when it comes to that stuff.

National fire code(USA) requires 15 sq ft/person. You subtract the non-patron areas then divide the area to arrive at occupancy. Each state may also have certain requitrements regarding number of exits and also sprinkiler systems... Texas for instance requires sprinkler systems for any venue over 300 occupancy regardless of size. Also you should contact local fire marshall as building materials also have requirements. Knowing what you are doing in advance may save you thousands an much time with fewer headaches.

I don't think the dirt track crowd would enjoy an F1 theme. Also, are the majority of people going to the track families? They may not visit your bar, if that is all it's going to be. I would be concerned about spending all that money to build something from the ground up to service 2000 people only on weekends for only 9 months out of the year. Just my 2 cents.

What about a extreme sports theme, that would cover most popular younger sports, think X games.
