A local DJ company wants me to promote them. I have been thinking of alot of ideas of how to go about doing this. I was just looking for other ideas. Maybe someone has done something that has worked?
They said as of now they are looking to get more corporate clients and businesses.
No matter how far out there is the idea, all are welcomed.

It sounds to me that this DJ company doesn't have the capital for investment...
And because you're a promoter, they want to use your contacts in the business to find more work - paying you after they get paid most likely.
IMO - there's no lucrative investment for you unless you have immediate opportunities for booking DJ's. If they're looking to get into the corporate world, then using a promoter to do so isn't going to work because your primary focus is within the nightlub industry and that is not where corporate America spends time or money 95% of the time.
Tapping into the corpoarat market is difficult is you don't know where or who to look. Unless you make the right contact, your services aren't needed. And the best way to make these contacts is to invest timeand money within Associations so that you can network with event planners, managers, designers, caterers, etc at monthly meetings and even advertise in some instances.
OK, I pretty much agree with The Event Guy.
But there is one way in which your club contacts could help get the DJs into corporate gigs. The clubs you work with probably book private events, holiday parties, etc. And they probably have mailing lists or phone lists of "admins" in local companies.
So... you could work through your club contacts to reach the people who book the corporate events.
