I am 22 years old and going to graduate with my associates in the spring. I am looking to start a company that offers services such as planning event for customers (get limo's, club reservations, lodging, etc.) So basically I want people to call my company and I will plan and execute birthday parties, bachelor parties, any occasion really. I want to be able to offer table service, reservations at the hottest clubs in NYC, Philadelphia, Atlantic City, and Baltimore (I am located in Delaware) limousine service, and possibly even lodging. I want to make it so people will just choose a package and I will handle all the details. Obviously I will have to make connections with the various clubs, limousine companies, and casinos and present my ideas. Is something like this common or even feasible? Will these companies likely be willing to work with a "middle man" company and offer discounted rates to me? In addition to these services I was looking to incorporate these ideas into the larger scheme of a nightlife promotions company. I want to be able to offer celebrity appearances, advertisement and marketing ideas, and general promotions help. In essence I would like to be a promotions consultant (does that even exist?) So the overall plan is to start a company that can offer complete "party" packages to the customer and promotional and marketing packages to the clubs and bars. Any help is appreciated. I am just looking for general direction to focus my attention. Let me know if these ideas are something that is common place in the industry or am I barking up the wrong tree.

Hey Dakenhead, welcome to the forum.

Yes there are companies out there that do such packages for people. Normally they reside in that town such as Vegas/NYC/Miami.

You call them and they will try to meet your needs the best way they can of course everything is for a price and sometimes not worth it. There are times where they can get you amazing deals on hotels/car rentals club entrances etc, but to get these deals put together a marketing plan of what your trying to accomplish and send it out to the heads of marketing etc in like atlantic city etc. Since the enonomy is hurting a bit they are for likely willing to negoiate with you a very good deal so you can bring people to their hotels/venues/resturants etc.

Be professional about things and you get things out of it. Hey if you enjoy doing it and dealing with problems you can make some good money. Just have to make sure the client is being taken care of 120% so that they become repeat customers and then help you spread your companies name for free! Repeat business makes your profits not a 1 time deal.

I would strongly suggest starting in one city and then expanding if it works.
