Finally Opened the Ramsey School

I would just like to let everyone know that I finally was able to open my bar. It's in an old school building, so we left the name the same...it's known as the Ramsey School. Here are a couple of pics on our opening night on New Years Eve. Everything went well and we had no problems of any kind.

Congrats! Your grand opening was new years? Did you have a full house? Presell tickets or it was walk through crowd.

We had quite a few people come through the door...but they didn't all stay all night. We charged a cover at the door with no pre-sales. Yes, it was New Years Eve.

Glad to hear you are open and running.

I could not quite tell from the photos but do you have a small platform for entertainment?

I saw a mix of plastic and glass ware in the photos. Are you using both? What will you use normally?

Any chalk boards in the "school" ?

Yes, the bar is divided into two halves...there is an upper portion where we have the main bar and then a lower portion with a small stage, VIP section and a much smaller bar. We were only using the plastic that night for some drinks like margaritas. We will normally use all glass. There are about 4 chalkboards in the upper and lower bar. We are going to use them to post specials and upcoming events on. Also, there is one in each of the bathrooms so people can write stuff on them.
