I want to book world top 10, Van Buuren/ATB/Deadmau5 etc.
Is there any of you members have booked
top DJs?

How much will it cost me?
I know that i will be charged for hotel and airplane tickets..

you would most lickely have to go through a DJ agency. Most Djs can charge around $15k per show.

For EDM djs, you need to contact their agency. Usually, the agency contact will be listed on their MySpace page, if you don't already have the info.

Top 10 djs all make 15K+ USD per event. It also depends on a few things, e.g. size of your club, night of the week of the event, etc. Make sure to get the agency to include the flights in the price. But you will still have to pay for the hotel room(s), any meal, and any 'special requests'.

We did Deadmau5 in 2009, and he was 15K USD on a weeknight - closer to 20K USD on a weekend. AVB is at about 25-30K, 20K on a weeknight. Guetta is 20-25K, as is Van Dyk... anyway, you get the picture.

I would check on their websites and see how their management company is, sometimes they have tours they are already on and if you can piggy back on their existing route that will give you some bargaining power, where you will be able to get a good deal.

In the nightclub im working in, we paid 100k+ to get Felix the Housecat for New Years Eve.... This club is in Perth, Australia. Even after that price he had demands for DJ monitors and amps powering said monitors. After all the hassle people who hadnt heard of him before preferred the current resident that did the set prior to his.

Does Warren Buffet own the club? That is just so fecking stupid I am speechless.

Maybe next time advice the Owner(s ) to hold a charitable event and do some people that need help some good instead of feeding the cat. No wonder why most people hate cats.

Jesus Christ! < Worth 100G's to spin records and perform miracles, but not no Cat. What a Down Under Blunder.

Felix has the reputation and credentials to back them up as does this hotel/club, so perhaps it was a worthwhile arrangement for all involved. How was the show?

It is not surprising that many of the guests had not heard of him in Perth, especially the younger party goers. Guess I am just jealous and regret the day I quit The Sugar Hill Gang during the early days to pursue a short lived career in the newspaper delivery field.

Happy New Year to all

$100,000 for Felix? Sorry, that is just crazy if they in fact paid this. I doubt the top 5 dj's in the world would even get this in Vegas, not even Brian Howe:). And, Felix often plays at a second rate lounge near me in Chicago probably for less than $1000 a night, hell maybe more like $500 given the capacity and cover charge. I am guessing he is friends with the management or promoters. I've heard him spin and while better than many, great mixing skills, but I just don't get all the super hype. I have to say excellent dj name marketing though.

We did Jonathan Peters one night. He was a friend of the promoter. In all honesty like Wally said, those who didn't know who he was really didn't care. We didn't get the draw we wanted do to weather, but after all the hassle...I wouldn't do it again.

To answer your question, you will have to go through some sort of agency, and make sure this is a decision based on what your crowd likes...not personal tastes. The big house movement passed, it isnt nearly as popular in some areas as it was. Just make sure that its a good investment rather than wanting to see your favorite DJ.

first off im 20 years old and i know who felix da house cat is. second it is possible for big name djs to get paid over 100k for an event depending on the venue size, max cap. where and when. felix may not be the biggest name in the EDM world. but someone like armen van buuren, dj tiesto, paul van dyke, top 5 djs in the world right now. can cost up to 250k-300k
an event held down here in california paid that much to have some of the top djs in the world to come and spin

And money well pissed away.

Big events do not produce percentage wise and for the most part are nothing more than self indulgence and/or ? Well nothing really but to blow money that could better spent on more effective, practical and profitable outlets. Now paying 300 grand for Shakira or Beyonce to perform a lap dance is much more fiscally sound and considered monies well speeenntid IMHO.

You have to find their managers first of all.
I think you have to pick 5-10 DJ that you want to have (not just somebody famous) and go to facebook, twitter, their official websites and post your offer....

But try to talk to the manager...they decide evth!

good luck
