Greetings,

I am a 34 year old guy who has been in the bar / hospitality industry on and off since I was 18. I started as a doorman and steadily moved my way up to management, and along the lines I picked up an AS in Accounting. I now find myself at a crossroads. I left my last position with expectations to be in Afghanistan doing contract work. My position was downsized / placed on hold depending who you talk too.

I have been sitting on a business plan and with nothing but time on my hands I find myself researching, planning, and costing. I am in a new market with no friends, partners, contacts, or $$$$. What I do have, is industry experience and 1001 ideas for concepts, designs, promotions, specials, research, and demographic numbers. All this in a market that seems ripe for the picking.

If anyone is interested in opening a bar in the Denver / Boulder area, I am willing and able to work, and contribute many ideas. This contribution will be more in the area of time, ideas, and experience more than money. You have to start somewhere right!

Any interest, I can be reached at kodiak570@yahoo.com

Regards,

Though I do not hold in high regard the majority of so-called "Contractors", especially those that never had previous experience working on the Dark side for uncle Buck I think that the contractor field is here to stay and I recommend staying in the fold.

If you really want to pop smoke back to the fat milky nipple then work the system like every one else for some pork. It is out there!

If you speak Spanish and aren't a truck driver or spoon contractor I may have an opportunity for you to expand your horizons and credentials, though perhaps not your poggy bait allowance. This contract is for South America and involves over seeing a bar. Suicide bombers here are an expression used for folks that clog the toilet and the Green Zone refers to the first 3 - 4 hours after you wake up in the morning with a hang-over.

Note: This is a serious offer to any Vet of a SOCOM unit or at minimum a "Cool" dude. Includes monthly salary, room and board and is for a contracted period of time.
The business is located in what many consider one if not the best city in South America ( big city ) and if you like eating steak every night, lots of ice cream, cigarettes for buck 25 a pack and living much of the day in the night then it may be a good gig. There are downsides as well!

Now do you really have 1000 ideas or just 999?

I have 1 idea and 999 pesos, when I get drunk in English, I speak Chinese and when I traveled to Amsterdam, I woke up in France and experienced the "green zone". Is that still good?

Well thanks for the offer / direction. Give me a week or so to have my passport sent back to me from my previous "employer" and you may hear from me if things don't start looking up in Denver. I have enough Spanish under my belt to not starve, avoid a physical confrontation, and get laid. If you need someone to deal with customer complaints, I am not your man.
