I am in search of a one-of-a-kind drink special that would create a buzz for my bar. I believe the bars in my market are lacking creativity in this arena, and I would like to somehow be a "game-changer".
Perhaps you can remember a crazy special you've had - or heard about - in your area? Or maybe you can help me come up with something new and unusual?
Key factors: My bar is located in Kansas City. It's a basement bar with beautiful stone walls. The ambiance is "loungy", with candles and up-lighting on the walls. Open from 7pm-3am. No liquor law restrictions. I don't serve food. It's for Thursday nights. I will have DJs. On Fridays and Saturdays, I will be running a "power hour" (2 hours, all you can drink for $10), so it should differ from those nights. Of course, I want to attract hot girls!
My everyday prices are: $4-5 bottled beer (no drafts), $4 wells, $5 calls and premiums, $6 super premiums, wines by the glass range from $4-$9
Common specials in my market: 2 for 1s, half price whatever, $1 or $2 you-call-it, 25 cent draws, $3 martinis, late night (or reverse) happy hours, and so on.
Do you need more info?
Thank you in advance for any ideas!

We've had success with Vodka Redbull Jugs (1125ml) - you could expand it to cover Tuaca, Paraiso, Skittle's(Cointreau & Raspberry) etc.

And the container:

Just an idea. Younger women love to share them, and you could theme the night around the drink. Good for bachelorette parties, sorority girls, 21'st birthdays, etc. I have heard them called Fishbowls, Sharkbite, and Alligator Piss. You could have one or a half dozen. Oh and I have no affilitation with those sites, I just googled them for reference.

How about "Thirsty Thursday's"? You could do fishbowl drinks. I just started those here and it seems as mostly women are drinking them. I limit them to AMF's, Long Islands, and 2 more flavors. It is easier to control pricing that way and easier on the bartender. I have 60oz fishbowls, and took my regular glass and figured out that they get aprox. 4.5 drinks in the fishbowls. I intended them to be something they could share, however they are pretty much drinking them by themselves over the course of 2 hours. Which isn't a bad thing. You essentially have that group for 2 hours, and what ever else the group is drinking.

I guess you guys call them pitchers - we call them beer jugs. They're 1125mls or 40 ounces. We fill it with ice, 3 shots of house vodka, 2ish cans of redbull and sell for $25 ($20 on special). We charge $12 for a 10 ounce vodka redbull.

wow only 3 shots!!! Doesnt seem like a great deal, compared to the USA specials that are sometimes run, but then again you have a much higher liquor cost so l guess it is all relative.

My costs are roughly 3x $1.10 for vodka plus 2x $2 per can for redbull. If you're only paying 9 bucks for a bottle of vodka then I guess you could do it far cheaper or put more vodka in for the same net result.
1oz of vodka with redbull varies in cost here from $10 to $18 - and that's the first pour/house vodka. Same with Jagie
