View Full Version : Where to begin...I have a location
I know where I want to open my night club. How do I find out if a spot is zoned for this type of thing? Does an attorney handle that? What kind of ins. and things do i need to open a club? I want an 18 and under club, do these require anything extra?

18 and under clubs are not the best thing for a first timer..they arent very profitable and you run into alot of insurance issues due to the fact youre dealing with minors 90 percent of the time. PM me and ill help you make your club work

you should call the building dept or liscence commision. they will know. you atty can also do this. teen clubs are not well liked with city hall because they have had alot of problems in cities with gangs and such. mike

You are really going to be climbing an up hill battle with an 18 an under. Its not impossiable but is major work.. The 1st thing you need to do before you do anything. I mean anything calling anyone etc... Come up with the concept ( type of club ) Theme, music, etc.. Write it all down.... Then, once you figure out what kinda theme you going to have. Make a list an start searching the net, for the stuff you are going to need. An price everything, what its going to cost to get some one to come design the place. And get a DJ, lighting, security, dance floor, Glasses I mean everything you want in the place. Add it all up an when you get the total. Ask your self #1are you ready to try to put in what it takes to raise that type of money. 2# Do I know where I can start to look for this amount of money. People will tell you anything to help. Take it from someone who has done it from Scratch!!! Because once you have the money, you can find a building anywhere.. But if you want to know about zoneing an things for the building you found. Find out the place in your area that issues the LIQ. Lic.. Take the address to the building you found there an tell them you are thinking of opening a club. They will pull out a map an tell you if you can or not. Its very easy not hard at all...
Opening a club is not an easy thing by know means, I dont want to turn you away from it. I am just giving you the real scoop most people dont. Its a very very hard thing to do. But well worth the effort if you really have a passion for it... Best of luck to you. If you need any help look me up. I will try to steer you in the direction for the answers you may need.....
