What do you guys think of this concept. A nightclub or lounge called "PrePay". So if your clients "Prepay" for 10 drinks they get 12. But only 1 drink can be served at a time.

I think this will be a great incentive for customers to buy into this promotion because of the bonus; also I think it's more secure and guarnteed then a bartab. Also owners win because what is the likely hood some people won't make it to 10, if they don't... you win.

I think this could also be packaged a "special night" in any pub or club.

I don't know why one would want to name a nightclub or lounge "Club Pre-Pay" - to my way of thinking it would connote to the customer a picture of greed; "we're all about money" or "how much can we get out of you?" etc. Instead the name of the club should project fun , excitement , romance or whatever you think might float their boat.

Now as to the concept itself - "get 12 drinks for the price of 10". As a club owner I would be very concerned that my insurance carrier not only would drop me like a hot potato but also that I would be inviting some big-time lawsuits once my customers , fortified with their dozen drinks get out on the highways.

(I am of course assuming that you are suggesting that these drinks be consumed by the same person during the same night and not spread out over several visits or among several people.)

Remember we are in a bit of a different industry in that we need to move (sell) a product
in order to make money (or in some cases even remain in business) BUT many times we must do so at our peril.

I do agree about the name, but maybe this could be applied towards a "special night" of the week. I don't think it has to be 10 drinks but it can be a smaller quantity. The only problem is, if a person orders 5 drinks and receives the 6th free that may cut into your profits.

I'm not sure how the insurance works, or Liquor Licensing Commission board... but if you can get past that... I really think it could work.

In the US the standard for driving "under the influence" is .08
An establishment which serves a person alcohol to the point where they reach the above standard may be held liable for any damages which may occur as a result.
NO QUESTIONS
Six drinks would render all people legally drunk.

That's a bummer! I thought I was on to something ;) Hopefully it sparks an idea for another promotion.

My 2 cents ;)
