Hello people.

I tried searching for this but could not find it.

How much did you spend or invest to open your night club and on what?
I know answers will vary depending on the size, location, and type of club.

Depends on a lot of things like you said.

Size, location, lighting, equipment, etc

Areas around me which is Dallas for just the building on a good street can range anywhere from $800,00-over 2 mill. Square footage would be anywhere from 5,000-15k is my guess from the clubs that I know of.

You can lease a building tho which is a few thousand a month, just depends what you want to do.

Now lighting and equipment ranges a lot. If its for a night club for techno and raving/hip hop you want good lighting. Lighting actually relatively isn't that expensive because they have discount stores online all over the place to order lights, DJ equipment, rigging, cords, etc. So that can go for a few thousand also if you want to do it well.

Then if you use a POS system its going to cost per station and thats a few thousand per station for a good POS system. Or just use cash register with credit card attachment but it might make things harder in the long run.

Then you have Audio which can cost A LOT. Speakers, amps, mics, etc. Depends on the quality you want to get.

Licenses depends on location, around me licenses are around $20,000-$25K going through a service, which in the long run saves you a lot of time and hassle but it costs more up front.

Then it depends what you want in your club besides just DJs. Maybe you want hookah, oxygen bar, people on stilts, fire swallower's, etc. That can range also anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand per thing you want in your club.

Then initial advertising, which could be anything from radio, print media, flyers, online websites, etc. A few thousand is my guess but it really depends on what you are doing, thats more if you want to advertise with a radio station.

Initial investment on stocking your bars which depending on your place and how many bars you have, most spend around 10-15K (dont quote me on this), more of the veteran members will probably reply with better answers.

Those are some things to think about and you are actually able to price those out yourself online so you can get an estimate on things you want for the club you might open.

Real Estate is or should cost the most in my opinion. Then go from there. If you purchase an existing (closed down) night club, you usually get benefits from it, chairs, all appliances, tables, mics, lighting, audio, etc. Something to think about.

I myself cant give you a concrete idea on a number right now but I am sure others will share more insite on everything and also things I have not covered.

Hope I could help.
