Depends how you work on a contact. Like you said your renting out the place, usually when you do that, you pay entertainment, you pay the rental fee, you pay for your own security and door people, etc because your renting out your own place to hold an event for the night. They might still have their head security working or they might have all their security working but expect that you bring your own for your event.

I think most clubs don't operate this way but we won't let promoters bring in their own security. We believe it compromises the quality of our concept, product and overall customer service. However, sometimes the deal does say that the promoter has to pay for security in which case they give us the money and we dole it out to our own people.... I say, let promoters do what they're good at: promote. You run the place.

When you have to pay the venues security....what would be an average cost for security for one night... This place has a 1200 capacity.
