I guess I will start by saying yes..."I want to open a Nightclub." I am currently working for the #1 real estate firm in the country (I'm sure you can figure that one out...lol). Business has been great, however, my passion is to be part of something special in the nightclub industry.

I have lived in GA all my life, and have seen clubs come and go...and even turn to $hit over the years. I had a couple of meetings with the 2 owners of a certain club (which will remain nameless...but, I'll give you a hint: It is in Midtown and attracts all the big name DJ's) earlier this year. I actually met them last NYE and began what I thought was a promising business venture. However, that proved not to be the case. After a couple of meetings, the principal owner basically explained he had no interest in making any changes, regardless of my suggestions. The information I provided was fool proof, and, would have increased his annual profits between 10-15%! With the money this particular establishment makes, I can't fathom the thought of someone saying "NO" to an opportunity to make some extra cash. I even offered to take on the role of operations manager at no cost just to prove I would be an asset to his business. He offered me a bartending position in return...what a joke.

I have been in the Atlanta nightclub scene for over 9 years now. I maintained a business solutions consultant position with a company that made over $50 BILLION in 2003, was #1 in sales for 2 years straight, and won numerous other awards for my hard work. Point being, I'm not some lazy, unmotivated, idiotic regular many of you see while out having a good time. Don't get me wrong, I can hang with the best of them  , but, I keep my $hit together. I now work in real estate b/c I plan on making some investments in the near future, and lets face it...the money is damn good!

Anyways, sorry for writing this novel...I got carried away. What I want to get across to anyone who can point me in the right directions is this: I am very knowledgable in this industry, have numerous connections (including some of the world's top DJ's and athletes...no $hit either, event planners who have agreed to send all their clients to the venue of my choice, some of Atlanta's top chefs and caterers, photographers, journalists, lighting and sound technicians. There is not a doubt in my mind I could double or even triple the number of patrons at any of the premier clubs in Atlanta. All I need is someone who is open-minded and likes the idea of increasing their cash flow to give me a chance to prove myself. I have an extensive and well thought out business/marketing plan upon request.

If anyone reading this would like to talk more in detail, please let me know. Or, if anyone knows of somebody that might like to read this...please pass it along.

Thanks,

Staxx

Big frickin' deal... What type of experience do you have exactly with 9 years under your belt? You're only as good as your last event so I would imagine that you could present the results of your last event, right? If not, then working for the #1 real estate company in the country don't mean diddly nor do awards.

It sounds as if you could be an intelligent individual, but words don't mean anything in the entertainment industry unless you can proove it in black and white-as you know.

Put your balls to the wall and be a promoter - Lord knows they work for free- or better yet, research, design, organize, coordinate, execute, and recap a solid event that will make the club money, then you will have prooved you know what you're talking about...

Therefore, my suggestion to you is to tweak your marketing plan so it only stipulates how you will run your event and not how you can refurbish the entire management process of this venue. Put a discloser and a contract together... then prove the owner wrong if given the opportunity.

Event guy strikes again....... =)

There really aint much to add to what he has explained. But I will add a few cents. From reading your posting, you explain what you know but in the same sentence you explain what you don't know. An it don't really match up. No club owner likes conversation. They, we, I hear it all the time. The guy who knows the world, but as an owner aint neva "heard" of him. Listen what you do for work now sounds cool. An maybe the job you should keep. With all the contacts you have and the place where you work. You really don't make much sense... But since you asked for some advice I will give it 2 you. Go to the guy at the firm you work for. Tell him your idea, have him cut you a check. "Since he knows you it will be easy for him to cut you a check if you are as a hard worker as you explain" then go to the biggest club in ATL. An there are a few, I do investment business with the major movers an shakers in ATL. So I know the clubs.

So take the cash go to the club owner tell him you want to sub-lease his place for a night. An he will give you a price, then pay the money give him your guest list of all these A-class people you know. An throw you an event. Owners like to see money match the conversation. Every1 has great ideas at some1 else's expense. But if you bring some money to the table along with ur idea. Someone will give you a shot. Because they not really loseing out. But if it goes off like you say it will. The owner will come back to you an ask you bout doing business. An there you go. Ez as 1,2,3....... I all ways say.. "MONEY TALKS IN ALL LANGUAGES" you work at a place with money so you say. So take some invest in yourself an if it works then you have juss found a new job. Other wise keep answering the phone an getting people that good rate on there house... But if you do figure out how to use the tools in front of you. Let me know when the party is. I stay at the crown plaza hotel in buckhead right around the corner from the lenox mall. When I come to town. Your from ATL so you should know where it is. Juss to let you know, I do come to town....
