1-What type of marketing do you use for your nightclub?
* We use Radio as our main medium followed by in-house advertising, print in the local paper and some television.

2-What were your start up costs, how many employees do you have?
* I'm no longer in the business. When we started, I think that the initial startup cost was around $400,000. One day Bartender, Two night Bartenders during the week, three on the weekend with one barback on the weekends. One server during the week with four on the weekends. Four Doormen on the weekends and one utility person.

3-What were your common problems starting up your business?
* Getting honest employees that show up for work on a daily basis.
* Making your monthly payments.
* Dealing with all of the different personalities.
* And on and on and...........

4-Are there any major issues with an 18+ club over a 21+club? is liquor out of the question in an 18+ club for those over 21?
* You can have liquor available to those that are of age but it always finds it's way into the underage patrons hands. Numerous clubs have tried this, thinking that they are going to make tons of money. Only to find out that the problems that occur aren't worth the extra income. I live in a market that has tried the 18+ situation in three different clubs. They are all out of business. Too many run ins with the local police and parents.

5-How profitable is the industry? How big is the target market?
* Very, if you run it correctly. The target market is a variable that only you can foresee. It depends on music format, décor and a bunch of other items that need to be addressed.
