What in God's name are you talking about? You're probably too young...
Do you have the experience to do this? How much? Do you have solid financial backing? How's your credit rating?
What makes you both want to open a nightclub... in Vegas?
I don't want to shatter your dreams, but if your looking to do this on the strip, then it's doubtful you'll be able to compete with the casinos and their marketing budgets.
Why not a mid-size bar that could double as a "club?"
It all comes down to money, experience, and a plan.

We are not wanting to do this on the strip we want to target locals.
We do not have the money yet.
We do not have the experience either but why should that stop us.
We do have a PLAN.

If you don't have the experience how do you plan on getting the money? Money is the driving force in this business.
What makes your plan so different from a thousand other people that tried it before you-with more experience?
What is so special about your plan?
How are you going to manage youbr employees never mind manage you every aspect of running a club when you have no experience in the business? Do you have any sort of (employee, inventory) management experience?
Are you running on instinct because instinct can get you bankrupt fast - without the experience needed to make decisions on instinct.
Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but I'm just trying to let you know what you're up against.
Thoughts? Let's discuss

I do plan on taking college courses for business mgmt and any other course I can get my hands.
My husband has had a leadership class and business mgmt both 6 month courses.
My husband also has a friend who has owned a business for the last 35years and has growed to 4 locations.
We also know people in the industry already how are willing to work for us
This is just a 5 year goal we have set for ourselves.
We just need to know were to begin and what are main focus should be right now, without loosing sight of are main goal.

you're on the right course, but you can't depend on other people because it is you who is ultimately responsible for the success or failure in this venture...
I think you need to focus on what you're doing - learning the business through classes. You should also get into this industries work force. Goto your favorite place or the kind of place you'd most likely like to own and work there. You'll learn a tremendous amount of priceless knowledge.
I also think you need to get your finances in line. Start building a business plan-this takes time so don't rush it.
you're on the right path

It's not looks, it's personality for most of us. Most of the really good looking people are too involved with their beauty and not service.

David's right... it's how you relate with everyday people...cause that's will relate to you. Has nothing to do with looks, that's just a bonus.

As in advice? ;)
Just make sure you make a plan, and a damn good one. Look around for suppliers and get the best deal etc etc. Basically.... PPPPPPP...Perfect Planning and Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance! :D
