Finding a GOOD Contractor

Anyone out there know any good general contractors in the Dallas Area? Or for that matter, any ideas on how to locate one? I know I can open up the yellow pages and just start calling, but I would prefer to find one that is recommended. I have just heard to many horror stories about shady contractors and I am a little weary. Any help is much appreciated!

What exactly are you wanting done? Building renovation, electrical, plumbing or all the above? You might need more than one depending on the job.

I will need all the above, but have leads on electrical and plumbing allready, but if you know someone in these fields that you would recommend the more options I have the better.
