I have some questions on backbar safes/ cash drop boxes.
*Is it advisable to have a safe in back of the bar?
*Ive heard of a couple of places that have drop boxes for excess cash as well as seperate drop boxes for tips. The tip boxes were basically untamperable till the end of a tenders shift has been settled out. Anyone out there have this set-up?
*What is your cash closing plan for the end of the evening i.e. everyone is out, the doors are locked and the tills have been settled and set up for the next day...What do you do with the $ besides count it :), do you have a seperate safe for holding till you go to the bank?

Thanks in advance for any info. I should add that my facility is a Theatre Lounge. Main bar has 3 tender stations, upstairs bar has 1. Capacity is 800. Larger events at our lounge would be live name music and DJ dance events hopefully to full house. Due to open in 9 months (have been working on this for nearly 2 years). We are finalizing our security plan (cameras, cash plan, fire, pos).

I'll answer your questions when we get back from the show in Vegas in about a week.
