i want to make a website for my nightclub so i can advetise it in newspapers etc. I have located a webhost provider that has an online website builder. would you be able to take a look here:
www.hostmywebsitenow.com
Under the build a website----website tonight menu
there are some sample websites made. Would u consider them to look professional or not??????? I'm pretty impressed in what I see as you don't need any technical experience whatsoever to make it.

Ok, so I'm really tired of people trying to sell stuff on here. This is a board meant for people asking others in the industry questions about the business. Do NOT come on here and try and sell me your product. If I'm asking about a certain thing, then it is acceptable to say "Hello, my name is so and so, and I sell this, contact me if you are interested". Otherwise, lay off, please. And above all else, do not disguise yourself as a poster saying "Oh, this product is awesome, you guys should try it". We can spot the phonies. Especially when this is post #1 for you.
Sorry for the rant, but that is my 2 cents.

I agree with the above post.
so I'm going to hijack the thread to ask a question.
My company does websites and Internet marketing. We have three major practice areas: nightclubs & bars, artists and art groups, and high-tech companies.
I have just finished a book (based on a series of workshops I give) called "Effective Websites for Artists and Art Groups."
A lot of the information in the book is specific to artists (like, how to sell your work online, and how to protect your work against copying). But about half the book deals with things like how to get good search engine traffic, and how to manage e-mail lists. These things apply to clubs as well.
Based on what I know from the "nightclub and bar" side of our business, I believe it woudn't be too hard to write "Effective Websites for Nightclubs and Bars." In other words, combine the relevant content I alreayd have with new material addressing the specific needs of clubs.
I just want to get a sense, since most of the people here are in the business - is a book like this something people would find interesting? Assuming it was well written and contained good information (which OF COURSE it would be!!!)
Oh, and by the way - if any of you guys are artists on the side, you can check out my book at http://www.artchain.com/effective-websites-for-artists
