I guess in theory that would be a problem, but unless its some TOTALLY underground artist they will have a video.
There is also ambient video, splash screens, movie clips, even footage of the audience that can be shown.
thats the least of my worries as I have access to my choice of a selection of 10,000+ videos available to purchase and have within a week.
Im sure we will have enough popular songs WITH videos, that I wont need to focus on the one or two that DONT have videos :)
Hey, i really like your idea....i have not had experience with video nightclubs, but i have had experience with music videos and parties. I am a senior in college and that past 3 years we've been throwing some serious parties. The main thing that keeps people in our place is the large dance floor we turn our living room into, and the fact that we have a projector mounted on the ceiling. We have about a $2000 sound system to go along with it aswell as a $1000 super computer that i built. Basically i have about 600 music videos that i continue to update as soon as they come out and play them on the projector. So basically theres about 50-100 college kids all wasted dancing in the middle of our living room to music videos. I would recommend getting either a dj to play the videos or just have access to a remote. What i usually do is put the videos in a media player (windows media player) and randomize them. Then i just use my RF remote and can change songs anywhere in the house. We mostly only play hip hop rap /dance club music which i would def recommend over anything else. Also, sometimes i'll actually DJ the videos myself. There is a program out there called virtual DJ. All you really need is a projector and a laptop. Get a Y cable and connect it to both the projector (monitor out) and the laptop. The program allows you to show both views..whats on the projector and whats on your screen. You can mix with transisitions effects, anything you can do with a mp3 or vinyl dj kit with videos. IM me sometime if you have AIM at Jir1984 if you wanna talk about anything else, i personally really love your idea about the Teen Clubs. Goodluck with everything and let me know if you have any questions. Id like to think of myself as an electronic guru so feel free to ask any questions.

went decent this summer - we used Virtual DJ- so I am familiar
Got promo videos through subscription service, so we had the most current videos, often before they were shown on tv even.
teens definitely want to hear their "favorites"
hah didnt realize how old this thread was my bad :D

If I don't have a video for a song, I'll just make one myself using any number of sources from movies to ambient graphics or alternate video footage of the group/artist.
Hey Teenclub...do you have to show the script on the bottem left of the video when it comes on (artist name song producer "for promotion only") or can you cut it out.

Good question -- talk to your ascap/bmi rep about that -- i just leave them - because people want to know the name artist if they don't know
