well I have been around nightclubs and bars since i was about 5 years old, helping my uncles run their biker bar/nightclub, I recently moved to the portland metro area, and went to a club called the escape, I talked with one of the owners about jobwise here and he suggested that I open a nightclub, and told me to come to this site, i don't think he is a member but he knew about this site and so far the information has really helped, I know i need a business plan and all that but is there any tips on how it could catch the eyes?
Im trying to make it seem professional, and yet catchy so I can present it to the people Im trying to get funding from. If you have any tips at all I could really use them about now lol. I'll be hitting my 20th birthday soon
The Venue Im trying for is a Rock/ metal club, that has some darkwave aspects to it. age range I am hoping for will be 18+, and it will be quite themed for certain nights of the week, open all nights of the week.
Thank you for your time

I think the best part is "...I know I need a business plan and all that" B-E-A-U-tiful. I must apologize because I'm unable to give any original ideas; I've never been to a rock club... I think the closest thing I could relate is a live entertainment spot. Anything worth doing is worth doing well.

If so, I'd like to find out more about your thoughts on opening/running a business in Portland.
Thank you in advance for your time.
Cheers,

First off, there are a lot of these posts here. So if you were to do a search on the forum you would be surprised to see what you can come up with and how many people have done a thread like this one. So try and give it a shot and if you can't find it then sure post away but this place has a lot of information that will help you learn a lot about the industry. But word of advice, work in the industry and see how it really works. it doesnt matter if your in a "club" since you were 5. You have no clue how it operates etc and since its a "biker club" things are pretty much paid off and you need to know how it is really ran.
