Hi guys,

Ive been reading around through the posts here, still working on reading ALL... well, as close as I can get to that.

I did some research before submitting my business plans, I havent gotten any concrete results, was hoping maybe some live experience could tell me more. How do you go about submitting a business plan to potential investors securely? I mean, who knows whos signing the confidentiality agreement, and whats to stop a company from claiming they already "had" the idea way before I submitted it... This situation is mostly a result of being forced to submit the plan via email, not in person.

Thanks for any help.

make a copy of your plan and mail it back to yourself - NEVER open it and make sure the dated stamp is on it.

If you're working with professional bankers or investment companies, then the disclosure shouldn't be a problem. If you're going to submit it to a club, do NOT.

Thanks Guy.

Im not entirely sure if who I am delaing with is associated with a professional investment company.

Its a weird problem. Ive been contacting potential investors via online invesment boards. Ive had a few of them contact me back. A great potential investor has the entire amount of capital I need and is willing to offer it in many variuos forms, BUT this guy is strange, he sends me a message via the investment board and its all in capital letters, spelling mistakes, and i think there were some grammer mistakes too. Now, regular messaging, that wouldnt bother if was getting for it to, but here this we are dealing with seriuose amounts of money, what kind of professional message is this?!!

But i asked him to provide information about the company he is associated with and that seems legit, company exists and there is activity.

So my basic question is, this guy is a great potential investor in that hes offering exactly what i need, but he seems a bit shady to not have to worry about confidentiality.

Any advice about how to approach this situation?

Very much thanks for any time helping me out.
