I'm not a seasoned vet bar owner. However, I have a suggestion for anyone who is in the dream stages of opening a bar:
I am in the process of opening a Jazz/Martini Lounge. I have been researching, planning, writing business plans and sales projections...etc for about a year and a half. I have worked very close with my local SBDC (Small Business Development Center) and have even had studies done by the University of Notre Dame (I live in the university's home city). While I have yet to open my establishment (obtaining funding is a B....) I suggest you use these resources to the max. The SBDC will answer almost any question you can think of, give you a ton of information and even provide seasoned vets, like our good buddies on this board, to give you advice.
