Hi All -

Thanks,

O.K., here's my reaction:
Hmmm...looks neat. My customers might just get into that and
how much......OH MY GOD! STICKER SHOCK!!!
C'mon man, compare it to what we pay for pitchers - and those
things amazingly disappear from the premises despite all good
watchful eyes.
I'm not catching the cost benefits. My wallet stays closed.
Bet you could sell a few to affluent fellows with Beermeisters in
their basements, however.
And that's an honest reaction, as you requested,
Baudtender

I agree, it looks like a cool college crowd gimic, but way too expensive.

looks good but for 200.00 bucks is there a breakdown for bulk??
I have a lot of draft drinkers, I run 10 handles so I could be interested but not for that price

I have to agree with the other posts. If you drop your price it might be profitable for us the bar owners. To big of a risk if they are stolen. Do not know your price break however, if you make it affordable like at a price tag of twenty five dollars.

I agree that cost is the big issue, but i wonder as well about cleaning. I see that it is modular to break down for cleaning the parts, but I must admit, I would have a hard time getting that (acrylic)? tube "beer clean" in my tiny little sinks.

200 is way high considering I can build it myself w/supplies from home depot for about 15 dollars max......the cold puck that falls inside is for sale on the net and in some local hardware stores...great product though, your reaching on the price. I would want at least 6 probably 10 of those to satisfy demand in a college bar......why would I spend 2000 on something that will probably get stolen eventually, for the price of a keg cooler...good luck

While I can see $200.00 being high, I do think it's worth more than $25.00. 120 oz is about 10 beers your servers won't have to run back and forth with from the bar and therefore has more time to service tables with other issues. BTW I've seen these at your neighborhood chain restaurants that have a niche with the beer with food diner. A relatively large chain too. Does everything come down to cost? What ever happened to quality and service? Do you really want your customers drinking from Home Depot PVC and a rubber stopper makeshift that you built in your garage? Really?

I don't think it'll work for all of the reasons posted above.
It might sell as a novelty, but I don't think you'd sell many in the US. Beer drinkers are finiky.
This may sound like I'm being a smart-ass, but you might wan to try Amsterdam...in all honesty...it's a bong with a beer tap, dude. If you attached a bowl to it, then maybe it could be another novelty in that country. Smokers could drink the resin after smoking a bowl. Why not? They're smoking all kinds of pot aren't they? I bet you'd have some luck.

I've seen several of these on the internet and this was the most expensive of all and it has the least amount of features! I found one that I'm getting for my bar that runs $69 if you buy 3 or more.
It has a light in the bottom, it's on a lazy-susan type base and it has a tube in the center to put ice in to keep the beer ice cold! I've been doing some research on these and I'll post the link for it for everyone to look at!
Here's the link:

I think this is a much better buy! Why would anyone pay $200 for one of these? $69 is still a bit high but, my clientele (college students) love the idea! Just a novelty though.

Hey all!
If you're interested in the beer giraffe I spoke of in the last post, I just found someone selling them on eBay for $45-$55!!!!
This is way cheaper than any website online ($69). Go to eBay and type in "Brewtender" and it should show them.
Hope this helps,
Brian

I have had a similar item (The Longneck Tower) on my web site for a while but it doesn't really sell. The cost is too high. The Monte Carlo BrewPub in Las Vegas has had these for a couple of years now. I also offer a product that I like better, the BrewTender. It has an ice chamber to keep the beer cold, a light, and a rotating base.

It is interesting to see the responses from everyone about my product.
Some of you mentioned features as well as pricing.
I have seen all of the competing models and I can tell you that my product is the only one on the market that is commercial grade.
Additionally, I am the only one that offers a warranty suitable to a bar or restaurant, and that is who I market to.
30 day money back guarantee - if you don't like it, send it back for a full refund.
6 month unconditional warranty - If the product breaks, malfunctions, or if you have any other issue with it I will replace the entire unit at no cost.
The tube is not acrylic - which is what all of my competition is.
I use PETG which is 6X stronger than acrylic. It will not break and it does in fact become "beer clean".
The tap assembly is a standard stainless faucet - unlike the soda or coffee taps that my competition uses.
I met Mark (the brewmaster) from Monte Carlo last year. He had just received a shipment of the Giraffe 2 weeks prior - and already had six broken ones laid out in his office.
If you are going to have limited use of my competing products - then I think that they will work well and they offer a good value.
If this is something that you plan to use heavily and you have a staff that is generally tough on your equipment - I truly believe that my product offers the best value.
Sorry if I sound like I am ranting - but felt I had to defend my product a little bit. The feedback from all is definitely appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
