Posters/pictures (framed, perhaps) of succesfull events put on by your club or coming attractions can work well as long as you are proud of the artwork. On more than one occasion I have asked for promotional posters simply because they were either very original or just visually appealing.

thanks for the post guys. If you need some, I can get you some cool ones like ones that glow in the dark. In the day you can't even see the ink, but in the club it will light up. Tell me what you get them for now and I'll see what I can do!

$10 for a t-shirt seems expensive to me. If you give away 100 shirts a night on a weekend, that's a couple grand in t-shirt costs a week. I have never paid more then $5 per shirt with printing.

There was a few t-shirt company guys at the show. One that comes to mind was the $2.95 Guys. I'll see if I can find their web address. Their shirts sold for, you guessed it, $2.95 each.

I always get the beer and liquor distributors to supply the shirts. I then have a local printer put our logo and event on the shirt. This usually costs about $2 to $3 at the most per shirt.

We are currently doing a Industry Employees only party once a month. The beer and liquor reps each give me at least fifty shirts along with other koozies to give away.

Shop around and find the best deal.

OK, I found the site. Here it is. Tell Jay that David from the Nightclub and Bar Magazines website sent you. Let me know how they are to do business with.

yes del it was a real ? but I wouldn't mind printing some shirts!
dj hush, you're paying to much for shirts!
and david the $2.95 is for atleast 504 shirts, which is to many for most people, especially for staff.

Yes Tyler, that is a lot of t-shirts. But, if you are giving 50 to 100 away on a weekend, that's only a couple of months worth. Now I wouldn't recommend the site that I mentioned for Staff Shirts, I would do business locally. If you are running a promo for four to six months, then the 295 guys are your best resource for shirts, bar-none. If you find them for less money and the same quality, let me know.

I guess if you are spending $1500 on shirts, why not get the most for your money?

Cost shouldn't be the number one reason for choosing a printer! You want someone who will get the job done on time if nit before, offer great customer service, provide quality work, have a large selection of garments, and more! Like restaurants for example, you could go to a cheap burger joint or you could buy the same thing for $4 more. You pay the extra money for the experience and if they provide good customer service then you become loyal to them and price is not a factor. Same thing with any business, especially one that you will continue to use.

In this business, like any other business, you have to watch your expenditures. If you don't, your profit margins will slowly dwindle. If you need an item, any item, by tomorrow or the next day, you have proved that you are not organized and need to be more studious in your business management. This type of management is called "Flying by the seat of your pants". You, as a manager or owner lead by example. If you don't show your employees that you are on top of things, why should they?

Sure, there are things that we need once in a while at a moments notice. Like change or something of that nature. But, if you are planning a promotion, you better have all of your ducks in a row weeks even months before hand. I, like most people have a yearly promo calendar. This way, I will always have everything that I need on hand weeks before the promo is executed.

I'm not trying to start an argument. This site is a free speech site and that's what I like about it.

As for your statement on "Cost shouldn't be the number one reason for choosing a printer" this is somewhat true. What if the lower priced printer did as good or better quality work? Would you buy from the lower cost company? I would. I have seen the work that the 295 Guys do and it is of a good quality Hanes product.

If you purchase a good quality shirt, they will be in the public eye for many years. To use another company's promo logo line...

T-shirt..................$2.95

Signature Martini…..$9.00

Seeing your promo t-shirts all over the city for years to come...

PRICELESS!!!!

Yes David, I'm just saying that I can get shirts to people within 2 days. People shouldn't wait till the last minute, and I never had anybody need them in that short of a time period. But I just think that price should not always be the deciding price for everything.

Oh, I get it now Tyler, you are using this site to promote "your" t-shirt business. You do know that that is a no no. Now I see why you were so adamant about your posts.

I do this and put a few photos on posters and flyers so people look at them closer, where they are looking to see if there on there, there reading what the poster says!
