this was going to be the name of my club if i opened one in colombia. actually i just returned from colombia not too long ago and though colombia is really opening up i would not recommend any american open a bar or club there now. go to argentina, uruguay or brasil.

aside from thinking all investment opportunities i see online are scams the ones from foreign countries usually are. doing business in south america is nothing like the states. first you need all the cash up front. second if your a gringo no one is going to trust you. third, although it is easy to open a bar and you dont have to put up with all the b.s. as in the states ( permits dni etc ) lastly, you are doomed to fail if you dont have a local working with you that you can trust (refer to second point).

i love south america and especially the hot chicas. bogota is dangerous period! traveling through and enjoying the city is one thing but opening up a bar/club in this super macho land is gonna get you nothing but a third eye.

best bets open a place in buenos aires , argentina or salvador bahia, brasil or punta de este, uruguay ( seasonal ). forget colombia amigo!

Bad luck for you if you have not had the oportunity to do business in central or south america.... But must i say colombia is a very safe country maybe next time you fly down you might think about not being so cheap and stay up north and not in the south... thats if you know were Bogota is.

sorry stud for not getting back to you sooner but i had some easter baskets to deliver. see i dont get to the states much and even less to the mainland so i try to put on a happy face with my kin folk.

sounds great clubs in peru, colombia, panama, and costa rica and you have a minnesota cell number. i dont know what clubs you own or how well they do but i gotta think they dont do well ( at least in legitimate terms ). could be wrong and i am willing to travel to any of them and be proven otherwise.

like i said i was recently in beautiful colombia and will be again this june well actually in cartanega which in my opinion is the only town worth visiting, maybe because i am a beach person and all.

what do i know about south and central america? aside from having just returned to the states after spending 4 months there looking into exactly what you are trying to hedge funds for is a helluva god damn lot. i guess i know more about south east asia but south america is a close second ( mostly because of the chicas ).

so you are looking to pull in investors for a club in bogota. let me ask you if think colombia or peru or even panama are better investment opportunities in this industry compared to argentina, uruguay or brasil. i think anyone that sees this post needs to do their homework. now again i have never been to ecuador or french guyana so maybe they are the new hot spots.

colombia- %80 of the worlds coke supply, the only latin american country with a full blown civil war, and the kidnapping capital of the WORLD. farc, eln, avc just lead to nff ( no f**kin fun ). but hey i am sure you and your bud have an angle and an angel. peru - give me a break aside from from some ruins there is no nightlife, panama maybe in 5 years, and costa rica well actually i am on my way down there in a month. i will be in san jose for a week then off to tamarindo and south to manuel antonio maybe we can cup of tea.

so yes i have been to colombia and peru and within the past month. i travel its what i do read my profile. panama is a possible place but actually i havent been there since they closed down ft sherman. cool swimming out on bob dylans boat huh. you will get nothing but jacked there.

$185,000.00 for a leased turn-key club w/ a 5 year renewable lease. what you get is 50 % (or it might be $92,500.00 for 50% not clear).

take a look! now i would think anyone with clubs in colombia, peru, panama and costa rica could swing 185 k. what do your clubs net? ( on liqour and door sales only )

not a bad looking place from what i could see. would i mack it out and make it more appealing? would you?

i will make this my last public reply regarding this post and continue any further correspondance directly with you. from available information you appear to be a genuine and successful businessman and am confident that you will obtain the funding needed to purchase the club in bogota. wether that funding is derived from your numerous ventures from import/export dealings with china ( intrade corp. colon, panama ) or from your pirates of carribean themed restaurant and whatever else your dealing in it seems certain.

as for my initial posting that was merely my opinion based on recent information having to do with this industry in south america period. if i were to open a resto-bar, pub or night club anywhere in south america it would buenos aires, argentina first, then possibly punta de este, uruguay ( seasonal and expensive but they having gambling and legalized prostitution ) or in brasil. this is based on the stability of the goverments ( though all are banana republics they are friendly ), growing economies, large tourist market and expat communities, weather, activites, hotel accomodations , cuisine reputation, etc. etc.

now argentina while not being beloved by the rest of south and central america wether for there arrogance, or what have you is my favorite of all. granted the argentines brought this on by themselves and unfortunately look down on the other latin american countries. possibly this is due to its deeper european heritage ( b.a. is a very european city all things being relative) and it is really just the portenos that are the snobs. damn good looking and fashionable ones to boot.

now if anyone wants some hard facts and a sure shot plan to open a bar in this city of 13 million people and how to succeed there i will gladly provide you with it. so mr. heres im not a deep pocket investment type but more the concept, build-out and operations end of the house though i am open minded. so this big blurp being said again i apologize for slamming bogota because its a great city overall.

What where you thinking? I must say that mauimanana was 100% on the ball from the very beginning...My business partner was in Columbia with the X Show from Vegas not 8 months ago. He speaks great spanish and was in country with the show traveling.....

I can tell you that while im sure that the women and the pictures and stories of the beautiful women were fantastic. The reality is that doing business in Columbia is a BIG NO!

The US goverment highly recommends that this be a MUST MISS TRAVEL destination.
