How many people have ever tried hiring out people just to be in the bar, helping it to look busy and interesting? I can not tell a lie, I got the idea from the online thing at this site, but I wondered if anyone had ever made an attempt to try it and what the response was. It seems a little sneaky to me.

If you want rent a crowd the best way to do it is drop money in peoples parking meter and put a note on their windscreen. Be at my bar at 5pm and win a years worth of parking meter money.
You will have the council the traffic ladies press you name it . Apparently you are not allowed to load peoples meters but hey it filled your club got your name in the papers etc
Cheers Andrew

I got news for you, big city clubs have done this for years with bar tabs for club kids, vips, models, etc., But the most common way is to have attractive male and female dancers in street clothes, normal club atire work the dance floor.Sometimes they are hired directly from club patrons. It's not sneaky , it's business.Politicians are masters.Do you know talk shows plant people? How about ones paid to laugh such as at the Jay Leno show?Overall, if they help create the fun party and place to be, what is the harm?Sneaky, well maybe, but this is war over your competition and wouldn't you like to have every edge you can, or at least meet what they may already be doing? While I am at it, how about staged publicity stunts?I've experienced some very sophisticated ones that that helped to keep a top club in the press for years.
