I'm in need of everyday items:

-fog juice
-replacement bulbs for lights
-new light fixtures
-etc...blah..blah..blah

but a lot of the companies I use are outrageously priced. Does anyone know where I can get good nightclub supplies at cheap prices without having to buy bulk? And do they have an online store?? please email me.

Well if bottom line is a part of this discussion, do what I suggest, get in contact with a local event production company or rental company (sound/light/video) set up a deal to buy there used bulbs ( they exchange on a rotation to help with maint.) see if they have used gear for sale at a discount and keep the money flowing and the jobs happening in your hometown.

I've invited an individual to post his services here, mostly because I personally use his company to supply my clubs with everything from bulbs and fog juice to actual lighting. His name in Matthew, I imagine he'll be along shortly.

Thanks for your understanding his self promotion of his business, it's not something we typically allow for, but because I know him and his intentionsI wasn't too worried he'd be chasing any of our users around for business.

I'll second the www.cheaplights.com - I've bought lots of stuff
from them, got nothing but great service and products. Never
met those guys, but I'd sure like to buy them a beer.

I've bought lighting, fog machines and fluid, bulbs, amps, a compressor/limiter, and cables from them. All just great. A lot
of their stuff you'll see in the American DJ catalog as well as
other dealers, except with higher prices and different names.
What I particularly like about them is that they're happy to spend
time on the phone with you, and are knowledgeable about what
they sell.

Whoops - I should have mentioned that www.cheaplights.com
sells no-name equipment. If you're looking for or need high
end stuff like Lightwave Research/High End, Martin, Clay Paky,
etc., you need to look elsewhere. My best advice - a big part
of cost of ownership of lighting fixtures is the bulb cost - always
look for expected hours of life (and expect half because they're
optimists) and replacement cost before shelling out the bucks.
