I have the financing, I have the business plan, I have the liquor license...what I don't have is the NAME. I looked through the other threads, however none of the suggestions fit what I am looking for. I will be opening a true NIGHTCLUB..typical rap/hip-hop/R&B muisc. It is a small town and the capacity is 250. It is on the top floor of a commercial building - meaning you have to walk up 20 stairs to get to it!! It was opened before with the name The Next Level - which I thought was catchy. Keep in mind this is hip-hop and the crowd I am trying to appeal to. But I need a name that everyone can pretty much know what it is. There are no other nightclubs in the area - so just something that stand out...Any suggestions would be appreciated as I am stumped!! And if nothing else I get a good laugh. Thanks

Of all the things you said in your post, this stands out the most and I don't know why.
regardless of location or style of music ihave always liked "phobia" and "the hydrant"

In my years in the business i have found that the name is the least important thing.
A friend opened a club in NYC that is doing amazing...and the name is his birthday (it also happens to be his partners bday too) backwards.
when he first told me the name i thought it was stupid, but he's raking in the cash now, so it seems to not matter.

i agree, its all in the repetition to wich your guests here the name.....kinda like that song on the radio that you absolutly hate, but once you hear it 75 times a day for a week, you catch yourself singing along to it.....its all in the repetition

Many operators create the entire concept around the name, so in some instances the name is the most important thing, but in some cases, the crowd is attracted to other elements and it depends on the market as usual.
When you say 20 stairs to you mean 20 steps because I can't imagine customers climbing 20 flights or stories or a building that high w/o an elevator:) So you really are not that high up to be called Sky Bar and tie ins with Sky Vodka? Not exactly original, but simple and to the point and easy for people to relate to and remember. How about one from Snoop Dog: Fo' shizzle my nizzle ? What do you think of that one blur? Letterman said it best: I don't know what the fizzuck I'm talking about.:)
