Has/does anyone use any sort of controls on their taps? I've seen things like portion counters attached to the taps, or attached to the line, or even scales that just measure the weight. Even really lo-tech like the strip you use to see how much propane is left in a tank.

I just use a scale and measure the kegs....depending on what beer it is it can weigh anywhere form 140-170 lbs....divide the weight of the keg by the starting weight and BAM a percentage of beer left....you could go even farther and figure out how many beers have been used or are left....you can get 165 12oz beers out of a keg....I usually just call it 150 to consider foaming and spillage....take the percentage of weight and multiply it by 150 and you get how many beers are left...hope that helps

Thanx. I'll see how that goes.

Ask your beer guys. There are inline devices that you can have them install to meter you pours. They also keep a running count on usage.
