Right now we don't serve food in my 100 seat neighborhood bar, but I am exploring possibilities. I don't have a kitchen and don't want to put in a hood/vent system but have enough room in the back to add some cooking equipment. I am thinking towards 'hearty snacks' and that sort of thing......not full meals. I am looking for ideas of equipment that would allow a variety of food service, yet not be too labor or facility intensive.
Ideas????? Pointers to manufacturers or even recipes?

I have seen the ads, but never seen them in operation. I was also thinking of a countertop convention oven setup. Or maybe even both. I would like to offer something more novel than chicken wings, fries, etc. Do you have hands on experience with either type of cooker?
I have also seen self contained steamers as well. I know I don't want to hold a bunch of fresh food inventory. That makes me think that I should probably should take a walk through the local cash and carry store to see what kind of prepared foods they have readily available before I get too adventurous.
Thanks!

Hi Roots,
I work for Autofry and suggest you check out www.mtiproducts.com
We now offer four models of the Autofry and a new ventless high-speed oven. The two machines together make for a cost effective virtual kitchen that can easily be handeled by a bartender.
