Radio Communication?

I am looking to invest in a dependable 2way system so that my security staff can effectively communicate in a loud environment. I have tried the motorola 9500 2ways with throat mics and received so-so communication. Does anyone have a set up that works really well over a good distance and through concrete walls? I would prefer a throat mic set up because of the ambient noise reduction. Let me know who has tried what and what the best set up is.

I recommend the Motorola XTS 3000 have used it and love it. Pricey, but well worth it.

Yeah some place. I tried looking for it, but after sifting through the various posts I have made through the years, gave up. :)
