I apologize in advance if this question sounds rediculous to some of you but, can someone please tell me what is the difference between a bar and a lounge or a lounge and a restaurant?

Bar = Lounge here in Florida
Lounge DOES NOT EQUAL restaurant. Big difference.

Lounge in my opinion is a nightclub with more seating and a more intimate feel to it.
A restaurant usually doesnt have a DJ and dance music blaring.
So a place with the right design can be a restaurant during the day and a lounge at night

Bar-Main business is beer, liquor and wine. No food except for maybe a few snack items. Attracts the after work crowd or social drinker. Your typical Mom & Pop business.
Lounge-Usually found in an Airport or Hotel type of business. A place to meet and greet your friends and business acquaintances. Able to have a conversation with out the problem of being able to be heard.
Brass & Fern Bar-Usually attached to a higher end restaurant and serves of a higher class of customer, at least that’s what they think. More top-shelf liquors.
There are numerous other types of venues out there. I just touched on a few.

These are the Definitions that I had in mind...until I moved to Pensacola. I guess that because a lot of Package stores here have a bar attached they just slap the label "Package & Lounge" to their signage. So that's how I got "bar = lounge". But I like Davids definitions better.
