Good Afternoon.
I own reBar (www.rebarnyc.com) in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. We were named TimeOutNY's 2007 NEW BAR OF THE YEAR for New York City.
We have been operating for 14 months and are operationally profitable (95k monthly gross income, including my coffee shop under same umbrella), although in the red because I financed 70% of the project with debt (mostly home equity and one convertible debt friends and family round of funding in 2006). I am looking for a minority investor(s) at approximately the 150k level to finance the expansion of the bar's kitchen so that we can offer a full Belgian/French menu (we currently have only a cold kitchen - serving light, cold plates).
This is the final phase of my business. The current convertible debt round on offer is prime plus 4%, paid monthly, but I am willing to discuss any structure you may be interested in, and am willing to discuss a larger investments. Included in my 12 year lease is exclusive rights to develop the roof of the building with stunning Manhattan and Bridge views.
I have all details, including business plan, investment docs, etc., at the ready.
