So glad to have found your site. We have been working & gathering information for a few months now on opening a lifestyle club. We have visited several clubs in Florida and they are nasty, have poor management, drugs & lots of illegal activity. Everyone agrees it is time for change.
We have attended these clubs for years now and see things that are wrong with the clubs. Yet still, they bring in $20k per week because there is nowhere else to go.
We are speaking with a lawyer this week. We want a BYOB club. (Although we heard that Florida is not giving BYOB license anymore) How can that be when American Legions & Elk clubs have a need for it with new ones opening.
Would love to hear some advise on the night club business. Pro's, Con's? Anyone know where to start to obtain a byob license in Florida? What zoning the building would have to be in?
