Hey all, I've been lurking here for a little while and definitley doing a lot of homework. I'm in the Air Force right now and plan on getting out in when my enlistments up in 2 years. I will have been in 12 years when I get out. I know that doesnt exactly translate to any type of bar experience but I'd say my knowledge in dealing and training young 20 somethings will help. I'll also have my BS in business. My dream has always been to open a small/medium size bowntown bar with live music. Emphasis will definitely be on music. Want to cater to the college 20 something crowd. Will serve limited lunch/bar food menu. After all the reading/researching Ive been doing I'm fully aware of what it's going to take to get this type of endevour going.
Really, I could move anywhere I want. So, My Q is, where would you all suggest to open? Obviously I'll do my share of research but just looking for inputs. I'd prefer somewhere moderate and close to the water but thats not concrete. Ideally, looking for a good preexisting customer base and good ecomony... thoughts?
