For the longest time nightclubs have had to rely on the traditional screams, hoots and hollers and even a show of hands for any in-venue "crowd response" used when judging or voting in a club promtion. That was until now....
Introducing Impulse, the ultimate in-venue interactive experience.
Using a customers own mobile phone, you can now give any invenue promotion or contest the abilty for a customer to vote and interact using their own phone.
Check it out at www.captiveinteractive.com and let me know how I can help :-)
Cheers. Mr. Captive

Isn't this avenue open to abuse in the form of electronic spam?
No offence BUT I cannot see how this concept would benefit anyone other than yourself.
In Australia, MOBILE PHONE debt is significant [ think guillable teens]. I may be only speaking for myself but I'm not texting anyone that I don't know. and then paying for the priveledge!

Hi Andrew, I appreciate your concerns....here are my thoughs on spam. I would be happy to discuss them with you. This original posting was in the General Discussions area:
I agree with all of you............I hate SPAM, so does our product and our entire company philosophy.
So, allow me to explain. While all of the comments are valid, I feel they are a little short sighted. We currently operate in over 300 clubs in the UK where we have a "double Opt-in" process and over 50,000 users before any of our members ever recieve another message from us.
We don't sell our lists nor do we market our information to any third parties. We will however work with the nightclub member to establish a one to one relationship with their customer through subtle relationship marketing (IE One or two messages a month)
We are in this business for the long haul as I have invested a ton of money into a very worthy service that is proven to work when not abused.
North American internet spam has gotten out of control so has UK Mobile Spam. We only have one chance in North America to allow a reputable service to work how it is supposed to and we intend to operate that way. Our organization is part of the mobile marketing association thus disallowing us from any "non best practices"
Another thing, unlike the internet, Wireless networks in North America are controlled networks....meaning not just anyone can send out a "spam" message. Additionally, to recieve a text message there is NO charge for the recieving party and actually costs money for the individual or orgainization sending the spam. From a pure economical standpoint Mobile spam doesn't make sense for somebody because it is going to cost them a TON of money and have the risk of breaking the law.
As I said earleier, I agree with you guys that this service has the ability to be abused....if you want to abuse a service like this, then you won't do it with is.
If you do want to use a service that DOES and is PROVEN to work, we would love to help and show you how effective Mobile marketing really is.
Lastly, for all that use "flyers to promote their clubs"....isn't that just not another form of spam that looks terrible, causes a mess and NOT very personal at all. A little double edged premise I would say.
I would be happy to speak with anyone of you to alleviate your fears or answer any questions you have on our service. Like I said earlier, It works, its proven and it is a powerfuel tool when used properly. When all of the spam companies get nailed....I can assure you will still see us standing, standing tall and proud.
Cheers, All
Mr Captive

I am pleased that you say that you say that "we have a "double Opt-in" process". Add to that a genuine 'single Opt-out process' and then I would be more comfortable with it.
Your product does have some merit but because we have all been burnt by spam, we are overly sensitive.
The people who may be the most likely to use your services would be those involved with radio and television media.
I do believe that you are totally sincere in protecting privacy so I wish you well with your venture - so much so, that if I encounter anyone who could benefit from this product then I shall refer them on to you.
