Well though I have another 100 k for over budget worries I am building a new spot for less the $150k.
One of the reasons I am able to do it for this little is I am opening a Old West Saloon, in a Old Historic District. So everything needs to look aged. So I will post as I go.
Besides getting a awesome lease (1.00 a sq foot, over 5 million people a year visit the area), I was able to get in on a liquor license lottery in California for just $12,000. That's cheap for the area.
The most expensive thing so far was the back bar that I flew to Atlanta and picked up and drove all the way back to Sacramento. It's a 1905 Brunswick!
So here are some pics to start with.

It's an original Brunswick, It was said that it was custom made for the hotel in NY it used to be at. They have another going up for auction in late March. It's awesome, and if you wanted to buy it before the auction it's like 95k. I bat it goes in auction for around 50k. The place to find it is red baron antiques in atlanta. They are the coolest antique store I have ever been too. Mostly one of a kind things, not junk from grandma's antique . We are now setting up the bar, pictures coming.

Looks great. It's too bad that you didn't let me know, I'd have make the road trip with you.
Is anyone else looking for the older back bar setups? I know of a couple that are for sale. I'll try and get the pricing and location.

seandell,
Congratulations on acquiring that beautiful Brunswick Bar and Back Bar. The Brunswick Bars that were manufactured at the turn of the 20th century are considered by many, myself included, to be "among the finest bars ever produced." I have attached two pictures from catalogs sent out about 5-7 years ago by Red Baron and Great Gatsby auction houses in Atlanta, Ga. I was under the impression that both antique stores had closed. Perhaps not.
I had a large night club many years ago in Sacramento at the corner of Fulton and Marconi Streets before Old Town had been created. I am familiar with the Old Town complex. It seems as though your idea will fit perfectly, and be a great addition to that early California Gold Rush theme. Also, love the looks of the ceiling tiles. Keep up the good work, and I hope you enjoy these pictures.
****Sorry..NO Pictures! The site would not allow the pictures to come through due to "a missing security token"...whatever that is. I informed the administrator, but have not had a reply.

I think in this forum thread you can only post links, If you have a link I would love to see them. Red Barron is still there as well as his ex wife has a red barron in Paris. Anyone looking for one of a kind antiques check them out.

Yes, I love that one, I believe it's called a del monte design. I have a triple arch. We almost dropped it trying to get it up on ,

Congrats, the place looks nice!
Love all the old antique bars. If for you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for that one at auction? Just curious...
Best of luck!

We paid $35,000 and put about another 15k in refurbishing it. The front bar was about 36 feet and I wanted it to be 44 feet so we had to hire a awesome woodworker that matched it perfect. Ive seen similar ones go from 60k-hundreds.
Congrats, the place looks nice!
