has anyone tried to use this programe to do their business for their bar?

i'm thinking of getting it just for the proposal stage than fine tunning it to suit what i'd like to have as my bar. cos i got to propose to some people (not the bank) to get the support for the venue or else i'm going to spend all this effort and nothing will come out of it. of course it'll be a good learning curve, but i've got about 100 other things to be concentrating on as well.

anyone can give me some feedback on it?

All this is is basic business plan software. It looks poor at best....... try business plan pro 2004 much better software.......

Basically, any banker or lender will look at key things:

1. Previous expericence or sales history.
2. Estimated cash flow.
3. Risk at large.

No lender in their right mind would lend a new nightclub startup a dollar without 100% collateral or previous business history. So basically, all the pretty business plans mean nothing if your using forecasts with no real basis for cash flow estimates.

Back to the software - the BBP2004 has plenty of sample plans to go through and its about $75.00

If you buy that software, look on Ebay. You may be able to find it for cheaper.

I have purchased this software and find it to be a good starting point because it is taylored towards a Bar. It's a really good checklist of things you will need and provides some good figures for the industry (years 2001, 2002). Two things however:

1. It really is not software, but some excel spreadsheets for the financial planning sections that already include formulas.

2. Depending on who you are presenting this business plan to, it can be a bit too much. Consider having others in the biz or your local SBA take a look at it and ask them to make suggestions on what to cut and what to keep.

Hope this helps.
