Myself and a friend are looking to open a country bar in Murfreesboro, TN(30 miles away from Nashville) and we are struggling for a name. We have kicked around SEVERAL names and here are just a few of the top ones we like. Please help us out here. After all, we in the Music City, so its got to be catchy!
The Rusty Spur
The Borderline
Bareback Jack
Tailgaters
Sawdust
The Shuffle
Haywire
Night Life
Wild & Wooly
Night Riders
Renegades
Gravitational Pull
Calico Moon
Sideways
Ours plans are to have a bar for those that just want to chill and talk and the main area will be a dance floor. We've tried kicking around anything that would either be bar & grill or saloon. If you got any better suggestions, or if you can help us narrow this group down, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if any of these names are just terrible and need to be thrown out. let us know too. We are wanting to try and get as many responses as we can to help bring them in. Thanks

Nashville North? I kind of like Night Riders, but then I think of the old talking car tv show with Hasselhoff.

The Rusty Spur - not bad
The Borderline - don't like
Bareback Jack - risky
Tailgaters - sounds like a car club
Sawdust - nope
The Shuffle - reminds me of old people
Haywire - nope
Night Life - nope
Wild & Wooly - nope
Night Riders - nope
Renegades - nope
Gravitational Pull - seriously???
Calico Moon - nope
Sideways - maybe
My thoughts above - not familiar with your market but I'd try not to be too kitchy

It is nice to see real people post topics and not just the Admin spins advertisers horseshit posts.
The name of the bar is not going to be original and not being original will more likely make if famous IMO. It is tried and true market. Be more crazy! Names?
How about these -
Jesus I think they were all done except maybe this one-
Midget cowboys branding big fat heffers

A new club in development has created a way for the patrons to name their new club.
Look at:

The name of my place is the "Fort Bayou Saloon". It is currently located near the water on a bayou called Fort Bayou. However, we are relocating to a larger location on the main highway, but are keeping the name, even though we will not be on the bayou any longer. Name recognition. We are adding "Bar and Grill" to the name.
I think the word "saloon" has a country-western ring to it. You may try to incorporate it into your name,

we got several battlegrounds from the Civil War here. Gen Bragg has a big part here and one of the bloodest battles happened here. its located on Old Fort Pkwy actually. Its an old Corkys BBQ place, but fits perfect to what we are wanting and its right next to the interestate.

What type of crowd are you trying to attract? What type of food will you have? How many beer handles?
