I got scammed by "Doorman" on trying to find a club member management software for my new nightclub. I'm not quite sure what to do in trying to get my money back. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I purchased this program through the moneypak directions that this guy gave on his website. I got the program to download, but he's never sent the USB key needed for the program to work. I've contacted all the numbers on the web page, but guess what??? They've been forwarded to a cell phone that some poor girl has no idea what's going. The other "support" number has been disconnected. I've emailed every number on the page and no luck. I'm now out the almost $900 to purchase this with NOTHING to show for it.

I also saw a craigslist ad from Sarasota, FL asking for an investor to give this business to the amount of $10K.

Should I file a police report with my local PD, or with the PD in Marrero, LA where the web page says it is located?

I did a reverse address lookup and found that the business location is registered to a:

Christopher J Hill
5105 Ross Lane
Marrero, LA 70072

If anyone as any information on this guy or any ideas on what I should do next, please reply with any advice.

If you put the puchase on a credit card, they will help you. File a despute. It may take some time though.

Caveat Emptor- buyer beware. A costly lesson, but since you flat out did not get the full product, I would say it is fraud. Contact the IC3 at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx or your state's Attorney General at http://www.ago.state.al.us/ and also the one in the state he was selling from. Good luck, but it is unlikely that you will see your $ again.

Good point on the cc- you can file a chargeback dispute with them if you used one. Or, did you pay with Paypal?
