Chris,
I sent you a PM probably a week or so ago, I am not sure how often you check them so would there be a better way to contact you?
Also, I can't wait to see what you do next and good luck with everything!

Excellentbars new Project "Barrel Room" Dueling Piano Show Bar
Hello Everyone
I have been very busy in this horrible economy over the last few years working twice as hard for -10% Ugh! and still I am growing my Venues and expanding based on my successful formula and hard work!
I am opening yet another venue, one of the things I have done is look into the market place I am in and discover what is needed for the market.
Here I am looking to provide a venue to a different segment of the market demographic than I already have in one of my venues in the same market place.
As the market recovers people are still looking for a value for their money and am looking to take the Deuling piano bar concept to a new level. dueling piano bar 2.0

Thanks for all your videos, I'm sure it's helped a lot of people learn.![]()
I did actually have to laugh out loud when you almost fell down the stairs, quite entertaining.
Was the venue your taking over an Indian restaurant before or what? Saw the statue that looked like Buddha, not sure if it was or not.
It is looking good and I am excited to see what you have in store for it.
chris's partner in crime is Asian so im sure thats whythe place has a lot of potential

Mindless
I almost Fell and I should have kept filming....I am not sure what the ultimate design ideal was in the venue, it was Pan Asain and an Electronic Music venue I have partnered with them and they are great I am always excited to learn every day and I feel I am honing my detail oriented skills...

Your dog is so chubby, I love it!
So you took out the wood paneled raised floor and then you put a new one in on the whole thing correct? Maybe I am just getting confused or it was a different room being shown... Why didn't you just add onto the floor on the other side to save you time and money??
Did you get your quote for the asphalt yet?
Excellent bars,
Excellent indeed. And I learned a lot. Re., ownership, too late for me to keep my bar an inanimate object. In my next bar, I'll fly under the radar. While I'm a bar, as opposed to a nightclub, I will implement some of your ideas. I'll check back for you on youtube. Thanks again, I dig the specifics, great learn.
The floor was raised on the outside most area of the bar with the main bar on the lower plane, I couldnt raise the bar it was far easier to lower the raised area back to the original plane. this was very cost effective and opened the space up nicely.
Yes the floor was lowered in 2 areas with the same thought in mind.
The final quote for the asphalt was $7400 +/- and they will dig up most of the existing area as it is to baddly worn and damaged to repair.

Newbar
trust me it is very difficult as you have learned to stay out of the spot light, I do my best and really avoid the front door and the bar area if at all possible, late at 12am every friday and Saturday I stand on the bar in the middle along with all of the security in their raised posts watching the crowd to stop problems before they happen.
this allows me to be in the bar but away from the crowd...
I hope your bar is doing well in these times. I see a resurgance of business and we are 5% down from last year
I am opening more spots with the "Low Hanging Fruit" concept I call it where lots of mediocer to bad operators who made it in good times and dumped tons of cash into there bars are now done and the spaces and rent rates are Great!

I am glad they aren't just going to re-coat it and they will work on getting it up and then redoing it. I know how resurfacing goes and its a pain in the butt. I had to do it to a super long driveway once in 100 degree heat. Ha, never again.
I remember you saying you were going to have a 'beer garden' of some sorts. I am sure eventually once the inside is done you will show what you are doing with that. I was wondering if you had to get an off-premise license for that (usually for catering though), or if there was a specific license you would need since you would be serving outside of your building but still on your property?!
